“The Retreat HOA engaged Fennell Building Group on November 12th 2019, for a repair project that included extensive repairs to eleven buildings consisting of three levels each. Reconstruction on the buildings started on February 24th, 2020, that was completed on schedule and within budget when the Certificate for Final Completion was issued on August 17th, 2021, for the last building following which the Retreat HOA engaged Fennell Building Group for additional repairs and painting of the breezeways of all eleven buildings, ten garage buildings, including the club and pool houses that was completed on December 14th, 2021. The total cost of the entire repair project was $13 million.

The repair project involved stripping the buildings down to the framing and completely refinishing it, that included the installation of new windows and doors. Also, repairs and retiling the roofs of all buildings. We received complete cooperation from Fennell Building Group throughout the duration of the reconstruction/repair project. Patrick Fennell, including the rest of his team/crew, were excellent in communicating with us on all phases of the project and they were extremely detail oriented. Their advice and guidance throughout the entire repair project were invaluable, including the way in which they coordinated all phases of the repair project to ensure that is stays on time and within budget.

“As you know I moved in a few weeks ago. The contractor team that did the window replacement did an excellent job, they were finished by 2PM and were very courteous and careful in the unit. The same crew did the door removal and water intrusion treatment Saturday. Once again they were super fast but thorough. They were meticulous in aligning everything. Above and beyond, one of the workman had noticed my front door wasn't working smoothly and asked if he could look at it. He took care of it in a few minutes and I just wanted to say how much their work and care is appreciated. Their crew chief made multiple inspection visits and made sure all work was satisfactory.

I expected the renovations would be difficult to get through but that hasn't been the case. I am very impressed with the quality of the work and the contractors are very conscientious.
